August Favorites + Leaving the Country

August Favorites + Leaving the Country

Tomorrow is September first and it’s really hard to believe. September is my favorite. Not only is it my birthday month but the weather starts to feel exactly how I want it to and the best coffee comes out at Starbucks. You’d better believe it will most likely be appearing on my September favorites post. For now though, I’ll share with you my list for August while daydreaming about leaving for Ireland tomorrow. Another September favorite…

A perfectly size, perfectly portioned, perfectly delicious find. I love all things Kodiak and this did not disappoint. The day before camping I grabbed this and made muffins for all of my coworkers. The macros are not horrible (closer to a treat than healthy) and it tasted very good. I was sad when I reached the bottom of the cup.
For the Cinnamon & Maple flavor:
Calories 260
Fat 8g
Carbohydrates 43g
Fiber 4g
Sugar 16g
Protein 6g
I cannot wait to try the other flavors and the oatmeal is on my list as well.
Another win in my book. I’m a sucker for foam in my coffee. Not to the point of a dry cappuccino but the milk packet got just frothy enough to make drinking my coffee more of an experience. I loved that it wasn’t too sweet or to bitter. I looked into getting the mocha and vanilla but they both contain sucralose and are heavy on the sugar. The plain cappuccino though is on the repeat customer list.
My earrings that I wear all day every day started to wear down. As in, they were a free pair of earrings I got in the Bahamas but they were pretty stinking cute and minimal enough that I never took them off. Free earrings have to wear out sometime though. I saw a blogger I follow with the tiny bar earrings and knew that would be my next purchase. At first I thought they were too big, maybe it’s odd to have a bar that can move around or they just weren’t me. After a few days of wearing them though I love them. When I looked up the link they no longer had the silver but the rose gold are adorable too!
My Random Haul of Bars:
It’s true. I love having protein bars in my desk at work for when hunger strikes. All of these will be purchased again.
They really are as good as people make them out to be. The first time I tried one I didn’t think I liked it because of the sticky texture but now it’s the only bar I want to buy. I love both the mint and the sea salt caramel. Also, the limited ingredient list is a big hit for me. When we get back I will be restocking my desk with these.
Sign me up for chocolate mint anything, any time. It’s my weakness and this bar solidifies it. I like the crispiness to it while still being able to taste the flavor not the whey. Not only are all the flavors I’ve tried good, but they keep me full without having a bunch of sugar.
These have been my go to lately. I even bought a box of, you guessed it, mint brownie after my desk restocking picture. These are around 200 calories each and a little high on the sugar but I don’t feel bad eating them with their simple ingredients. Maybe it’s just me but I love that dates are what make up both these and RX Bars.
I accidentally bought the clean version. Not the worst mistake ever, I probably shouldn’t be singing the eff word in the car on the way to work. I love almost all the songs.
My favorites:
Woman, Hymn, Praying, Learn to Let Go, Finding You & Rainbow
I realize that’s a lot, but I’ve never really found a song I didn’t like by her. She’s a very real person who I enjoy listening to.
Honestly I think Me Before You was my favorite book and the movie was one of the best movie to book productions. Emilia Clark is a phenomenal actress in my opinion and I spent this entire book reading it picturing her back in Louisa Clark’s roll. Jojo Moyes does it again. I cannot wait until her 3rd book to this series releases in Spring of 2018. I mostly read on my kindle and googleplay apps but I wouldn’t mind having these in paperback.
So that’s it for August. What were some of your favorite things this month? Leave it in the comments below and it may become a favorite of mine in the months to come! Be prepared to be bombarded with posts and photos from Ireland!
