It is the first day of August can you believe it? With a new month always comes a favorites post so here it goes!
First up is not new to me but a favorite by far and I finally bought a large jar.
My first introduction to this nut butter came with a protein box from Starbucks. I loved it then and still haven’t been able to get over it. I would be lying if I told you that I always eat it with apples like the before picture. Usually, it’s with a spoon. Straight out of the jar. No shame people!
Not only do I love the thick consistency but the tiny, four ingredient list is amazing too. Plus, you can never go wrong with a cute little message on the back about not using bee knees.
When I started my new job a month ago I was working out every morning and drinking a smoothie on my drive in.
I love making smoothies at home because I can control what goes into them. All healthy, whole ingredients. When I want to get a boost I don’t add supplements though, I like to find food substitutes and this is what these two items are for me. The chai seeds give more protein, fiber and are packed with omega-3s. I used the acai powder for the antioxidants, omega fatty acids and amino acids.
My favorite smoothie combos started with greek yogurt, a banana, spinach, acai powder, chai seeds, 2% milk and my True Athlete Chocolate protein Powder. Yum! I have however switch over to oatmeal and then greek yogurt with granola since. Breakfasts usually last a few weeks until I switch. Call it boredom, I’m pretty happy I stick with one thing for as long as I do!
I am so in love with this movie. Disney has always been my love language. At first this reminded me of Pocahontas and then even more so when her grandmother sang to her in the middle of the ocean. (Grandmother Willow anyone?) Jeremy even sat down and watched this one with me and we’ve watched it again since. The songs are super catchy and oops, I’m sure you are singing one now in your head. You’re Welcome!
The last favorite on this list for July is a gift from a member at my new job. A yeti cold/hot tumbler which I promptly took home and customized.
Before you ask, yes it’s everything people talk about. Keeps my ice all day long in 110 degree weather, burns me with coffee after I’ve been driving to work for 20 minutes. I now leave it at work on my desk and use it every day.
I know, I only had four favorites for this month, I have however started August’s list.
