Silhouette Projects, Good Eats + Going Out on a Limb
Last week was one for the books. I didn’t have any time to do anything but either play volleyball or worry about this new job that I announced on Friday.
I took this picture right before I left for my interview. I wanted to be able to have a photo of the excitement I was feeling before I left. The job description fit me to a T.
Before I get too far into that story though, I wanted to share my recent projects. On Tuesday Jeremy’s grandma saw my vinyl monogram on my car and wanted one for her’s. She requested purple with stars and I was happy to do so.
I also had a request for a Father’s day gift that turned out to be one of my favorite projects to make. Thank you Courtney for the super cute photo to add to my collection.
The last project that I did for the week was for my father-in-law. I saw a shirt similar to this a while back and knew that I had to make it for him. His reaction was perfect and I can’t wait to see him wear it.
On Thursday I gave my notice at work. I have been at my job for five years and to take this step is huge and scary but when they asked what it would take for me to stay I respectfully declined.
With everything going on with my work life I almost completely forgot that I had made plans to make my brother birthday dinner. After work Saturday I got home to a clean house, dinner prepped and didn’t even have to bake anything. Shout out to my hubby for being awesome!
We had salmon, broccoli and loaded baked potatoes. Mine wasn’t so picture worthy so this is Jeremy’s.
To tell the truth, I was not looking forward to this meal. I am not a fan of seafood but I am also against being a short order cook for people so I sucked it up and gave it a go. I actually enjoyed the salmon and would eat it again. That is a huge step. The only seafood I can usually stand is shrimp and scallops. Odd I know. It’s always a plus to spend time with my family though.
I had to work this past Sunday as well but I had grabbed an extra little pick me up to enjoy and it was actually pretty good.
I’m not saying there wasn’t a huge amount of sugar in this drink but it didn’t taste odd like some of the other Starbucks drinks you can buy off the shelf.
Sunday after work we spent a little time with Jeremy’s parents and then decided to wander around Home Depot because we needed stronger stakes for the tomato plants. The storm the night before had blown them over, current stake and all. During our conversations Jeremy had me doubting my decision to leave my current job for a new one. We headed home to bbq and talk it out.
Dinner was grilled chicken, zucchini from our garden and mac n’ cheese.
Monday I headed back to work and decided to make a meeting for talking over my possibility of staying with my current company. I am honestly so conflicted. I even locked myself out of the house today because my mind is elsewhere. When all is said and done though I will have to make a decision and I am going to stick with it.
I headed to the mat after my hour of hanging out on the front porch. I decided to take a video so that I can compare today to where I get in my practice. I love Piyo. It makes me feel strong and clears my head. This is part of the flow section, my favorite part.
