Thanksgiving and Weekend Recap
This is my second day off work after a whirlwind week. After our night out on Wednesday I tried to sleep in on Thursday but I was without luck. I woke up at 6:45am so I got up and did a 45 minute PiYo workout. I hopped in the shower and then decided I needed to make more pie. Jeremy woke up and we headed to Starbucks for a coffee.
When we got back Jeremy helped me make pumpkin and apple pies.
He also helped me make homemade whipped cream for our coconut cream pie which Ke$ha approved of.
It turned out so pretty and tasted super delicious. My father-in-law and his brother fought over it, a very large compliment in my opinion.
We opened our Mount Pleasant Estates 10 year old port. It was so smooth and the right kind of sweet.
Dinner was delicious and I was reluctant to leave the rest of the coconut cream pie at their house, it was better that I remember.
Friday I worked and then we went to the grocery store to grab a turkey and some chocolates for the advent calendar. We had left overs for dinner and then friends over for board games.
I was excited that I slept in until 7am on Saturday. I got up and worked out for a bit and took a shower. We had coffee at home and then went on the hunt for a birthday present for Jeremy’s mom. The plans fell through so we went with ol’ reliable and got her a couple of candles. We hung out with them a bit and went to At Home to look at chairs.
When we got home I worked on dinner. I made Zuppa and Focaccia. MMMM. I drank some Rudi Wiest while watching Gilmore Girls. I’m trying to watch the original 7 seasons before I watch the revival. I really didn’t watch them when they were big before so I figured since everyone was so excited I would watch it now.
Soup and bread were good as always and our new candle smells so good.
This morning I got up and made a coffee and my girlfriend dropped by with cupcakes and a belated birthday gift. I cannot stop bragging about how amazing these are.
We put up our Christmas decorations because we were both off, went to a few stores and now I’m back at home lounging around.
I found the perfect fabric for my nephew’s quilt that I’ve wanted to make for a while. Green eggs for Sam I Am. How is it not meant to be with his name all over it?
Now we are going to spend the afternoon with Jeremy’s uncle before he goes back to Michigan in the morning and I may work on this quilt.
