Jeremy and I didn’t do much of anything 4th of July related and I am pretty happy about it. I am not too fond of big crowds and he doesn’t care for humidity.
Yesterday we woke up and had a cup of coffee and decided to go to First Watch in Oakville for breakfast where we continued caffinating ourselves.
We had never been before so didn’t know what to expect but we ended up pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Trifecta which was a choice of eggs, meat and a pancake or waffle. I went with scrambled eggs, a turkey patty and banana pancake.
The pancake was naturally my favorite part followed closely by the turkey patty. They season their food very well which is something we appreciate to the fullest.
After breakfast we decided to run to Home Depot to find a rug for the basement with no luck. The night before we had gone to Weekends Only but the one we had picked out was sold so we went back to our first pick from Ikea. It has been Ke$ha tested and approved.
After getting the rug we headed to Jeremy’s parent’s for some bbq and it did not disappoint. We had pork steaks, potato salad, regular salad, baked beans and then we brought cinnamon rolls from Ikea for dessert.
We laid around on the rug downstairs for a bit with Ke$ha and decided to watch Back to the Future on Netflix. When it got dark we opened the door to watch some fireworks in the neighborhood.
Today I got up and took Ke$ha to the vet for her annual check-up. She gets so upset but I can’t blame her for three shots, a liquid up the nose and blood draw. I may take her to pick out a couple of cookies at Treats Unleashed later.
I am going to finish up this cup of coffee and do some PiYo so that I can indulge in some leftovers for lunch!
