I am working on a theme change for the blog. Hopefully we get the issues worked out and you will see a prettier looking page. Looking at this isn’t an eye sore but it could definitely be better!
Yesterday Jeremy and I watched Divergent finally. I read the first two in no time at all and am now procrastinating reading the last because then it will be over.
On to the recipe I’d like to share. Jeremy and I made Beef and Broccoli for dinner last night. It turned out even better than expected.
Thinly Sliced Steak
1 head Broccoli, cut into florets
1 Tbsp Fresh Ginger
½ Sweet Onion, diced
1 pkg Mushrooms, sliced
1 Green Pepper, sliced
First we cut the broccoli into little florets and blanched them for about 4 minutes.
Then on to the cutting of vegetables. Dice the ginger teenie tiny. Only use a small amount or it will over power everything else in the dish. Cut the pepper into strips, dice your onion small and slice the mushrooms.
We decided to grill our steak before using it in the dish.
Saute your veggies first in the sesame oil.
Then when the veggies are almost completely done add in the beef and heat through. The end result should look something like this.
This morning Jeremy also got up and made me an omelette. I am not a big fan of eggs but I could eat them like this more often.
And of course, Kesha thought I may drop something.
Now to finish cleaning the house and being a bum for my day off.
